Beyond the consulting disciplines currently offered, I have
ideas to offer the medical, energy and government communities.
These concepts are forward thinking research & development ideas
to possibly contribute to solving the following problems.
Energy: Cold Fusion
Cold Fusion is a concept that proposes a non nuclear stored
release of energy that is greater than the input energy. In
principal the concept is flawed as creation of energy without
nuclear reactions seems impossible. Previous research which
ultimately claimed success but failed under repeat direct
scrutiny used heavy water H2O2 passed
through a palladium cathode. The palladium anode will absorb the
hydrogen until saturated and then release the gas as energy.
Background
I have 30 years of hands-on experience working with precious
metals. The main expertise involves gold, silver & their alloys
for the jewelry industry. In these disciplines I have authored 3
patents. I have experience with platinum & palladium as well.
Concept
It is extremely difficult to refine palladium to reference
purity. In addition the grain structure of the cathode (plate)
is critical in effecting the hydrogen absorption and release rate.
Not knowing what the purity of the palladium used in the trials
was as well as any contaminants, I would speculate that less
than ideal trials were conducted. In addition the grain
structure measured with SCM would need to be referenced,
repeated and analyzed to determine what structures are viable. The
secondary idea would involve what happens to the oxygen during
the process. I would wonder if a secondary vessel or secondary
cathode made of high purity silver would be beneficial as an
oxygen absorption device. Silver will absorb 10 times its volume
in oxygen. Realistically Cold Fusion may never happen. I wonder
what the collaboration of some chemists & metallurgists familiar
with palladium might discover. Even if its 80% efficient it’s a
lot better than the current pollution producing processes. |
